Membership Opportunities
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS: 1. WCFA members are great people who enjoy associating to pursue common interests. WCFA is narrowly focused on promoting the interests of Washington's cattle feeding industry. 2. WCFA keeps its members informed of any news or issues that impact their operation. 3. WCFA conducts various educational programs targeted to feeder audiences, including tours of feedlots in other regions and feedlot employee workshops. 4. WCFA hosts an annual Beef Promotion event in the Tri-Cities called Grillin 'N Chillin. This event not only promotes beef, but is a great opportunity for fun and fellowship with other feeders and their families. 5. As a WCFA member, you will also be provided membership in the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. You will receive NCBA publications, including the National Cattleman magazine and the bi-weekly Beef Business Bulletin. 6. WCFA members are critical to Washington's economy, producing over 330,000 head of cattle in 2007. WCFA members support local businesses and farmers. 7. WCFA supports and works with the Washington State Beef Commission, Washington Cattlemen's Association, the Washington State Dairy Federation, and other influential and important organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest that share common goals. 8. WCFA supports a presence in Olympia, and, through its affiliation with NCBA, a full-time office and policy staff in Washington, DC. 9. WCFA conducts an annual scholarship program to support young people interested in the cattle business and Washington colleges and universities. 10. WCFA supports food safety and fed cattle research at Washington State University.
